About GLAZARA
Designing for Resonance
Glazara creates handcrafted vessels for moments of pause. Rooted in Chinese ceramic traditions, we reimagine clay and porcelain as living mediums that hold heat, time, and intention. Our pieces bridge ancient heritage with modern life, designed for quiet rituals where the body slows and the senses return.
The Hands of Glazara
We are a collective of master artisans from Jingdezhen and Yixing. We do not outsource our craft; our makers are the heartbeat of Glazara. Each brings a masterful, distinct voice to our name:
- Yulin: Infuses Zen philosophy into the unpredictable alchemy of the kiln, crafting perfectly imperfect vessels that anchor you in the present.
- Xiao Qian: Fuses porcelain with the ancient heritage of natural lacquer (Daqi), creating “touchable art” that grows richer as it ages in your hands.
- Susu: Brings a deeply educated, painterly eye to our studio, beautifully blending historical reverence with playful whimsy.
- Chunyan: Reimagines traditional Yixing clay (Zisha) into fresh, modern forms guided by the philosophy of the Dao.
- Xincheng: Transforms everyday vessels into tangible poetry using expressive brushwork and the striking alchemy of genuine 24k gold.
Collecting Moments, Not Things
As a collective of makers, our purpose is simple: to elevate your everyday rituals. Glazara bridges the uncompromising techniques of ancient Chinese artisans with the clean, functional ethos of modern design.
Yielding to earth, fire, and human hands, every piece we create is entirely unique. We do not design for excess or display, but to provide functional, grounding objects that bring intention back to your daily life.
Glazara is not about collecting things. It is about collecting moments—one vessel at a time.
